GLEE the Gardeners Home of Innovation

In keeping with the theme of the 2009 Garden Leisure Equipment Exhibition [GLEE] “Alive with Opportunity” another of the many new features at the event this September will be the “Innovators Zone”.

This brings a showcase opportunity for small innovative suppliers and entrepreneurs new into the garden sector to be at the show and be seen.

Neil Gow, Director of supporting trade association GIMA [Garden Industry Manufacturers Association] said:

“Often small manufacturers and suppliers can get lost amongst all the glitzy stands at trade shows as their budget will only stretch to a small unit. These we will be low cost units but by gathering them all together into one zone they will have critical mass. One of the highest priorities of buyers who attend GLEE is to seek out new products and new suppliers. This zone makes a perfect focal point for them and close to the New Product Arena too is guaranteed to attract attention.”

Companies with only 1 or 2 products and even those still at the prototype stage will be eligible to take up these units. Dan Thurlow, GLEE Show Director, suggested:

“This will give these companies just the exposure they need to make the break into the market which we recognise is a tough one at the moment.”

Individuals and businesses interested in this opportunity and attending the GLEE exhibition which runs this year at the NEC Birmingham from the 20th to 22nd September can contact
