Grange implements structural and operational improvements

Fencing and decorative garden structures supplier Grange has announced two changes to its UK management team with immediate effect.

Dr Dominika Bienkowska has been appointed chairman of the board and Paul Taylor has been made commercial director. Dominika has a background in business management and product development. She will steer the latter to introduce a number of trendsetting designs for Spring 2019, and will improve existing synergies between Grange and its parent company Stelmet. Paul will maintain his responsibility for sales and marketing, as well as having a wider brief covering operations.

In addition to strengthening its management team, Grange has also completed a reorganisation of the company’s Much Wenlock site in order to improve stock rotation and stock quality. The implementation of a new site layout has also facilitated the fitting of anti-weathering membranes to enhance product protection.

Completing further changes for the business are enhancements being made to Grange’s distribution mechanics in order to shorten lead times, raise standards in order fulfilment, and maximise customer satisfaction.

Paul Taylor commented: “We have listened carefully to our customers, and have taken steps to ensure that we will enter the winter storm season with very robust, pristine stocks not only in the UK but also at our Mainland Europe sites.

“The initiatives taken, our fully organised distribution network and the fact that we now have the widest range of pressure-treated products available will help to strengthen Grange’s position as a pioneer in the timber garden structures market. We are now better placed than ever to meet the challenges of a new era in innovation, manufacturing and logistics.”
