Greenfingers charity bags cash from Squire’s

Greenfingers, a charity that creates magical gardens at children’s hospices, has bagged £4,219 thanks to Squire’s Garden Centres.

Squire’s donated the proceeds of the government carrier bag tax to the charity, as well as money raised from a 12-hour ‘Plant-a-thon’ that the Squire’s team took part in.

Squire’s deputy chairman Sarah Squire commented: “All of us at Squire’s are delighted to support the fantastic work that Greenfingers do. They create inspiring gardens at hospices throughout the UK that children and their families can take solace in, at a time when they are facing huge challenges.”

Greenfingers chairman John Ashley added: “We are extremely grateful to our friends at Squire’s for this most generous donation. With three more gardens planned for this year, the money raised will help to ensure a million precious outside memories can be created by families who spend time in hospices.”
