Customer service a priority for leading growing media supplier.
Published:  01 April, 2008

It's already shaping up to be a busy year for William Sinclair. In January the company acquired the Gem brand.  February saw Sinclair bring in a new Managing Director for the retail division with expertise in sales and marketing, in the shape of Danny Adamson. Last month it merged its Silvaperl business with its professional horticulture department to form a new division for sales in the Grower, Turfcare and Amenity and Aggregate markets; Sinclair Professional.

Bernard Burns, Sinclair CEO, believes it is this emphasis on development that means Sinclair delivers real quality and service to customers: "Sinclair has always believed that in this market, you have to be constructively moving forwards to succeed. That's why Sinclair was one of the first in the industry to encourage greener gardening, why it's put such effort and investment into developing products like Sincro-Boost, and why we're constantly looking to improve what we can offer our customers."

This attitude certainly shows in the Sinclair range. A great year last year was followed by even more product investment in the form of redesigned, consumer-friendly packaging. A Premium range has been introduced for gardeners who need peak performance, and is already a strong seller. And Sinclair won major awards in the Gardening Which? Compost trials.

Burns says this is only the beginning: "Sinclair is always looking for new ways to help customers get great sales and making sure they get the best possible service. We are determined to continue to drive success in the future based on a successful start to 2008."  For further information telephone: 01522 537561
