Green fingered growth for Countrywide
Published:  01 April, 2008

Countrywide, the leading UK supplier of products to the rural community, expanded its gardening range last month with 15 new look Garden Centres within its 41 Country Stores.

As part of its retail expansion strategy, Countrywide is refreshing and repositioning the Garden Centres within 15 carefully selected stores to accommodate more product ranges, but also to make them easier and more enjoyable for customers to use.

A key member of the team spearheading this re-launch is David Gray, who has recently joined Countrywide as Seasonal Implementation Manager and Horticultural Specialist.

"The Garden Centres are all being styled and upgraded with a really fresh new look for spring which we hope will appeal to customers and highlight the new premium products we have available," says David, whose horticultural expertise within retail and garden design spreads over 25 years.

"My buying colleague Dave Marion and I have been sourcing products that offer customers the best in quality and design. We are expanding the range to include a variety of water features, a wide range of sheds and summer houses, outdoor storage products, stone ornaments, fruit trees and ornamentals, trellis and fencing, as well as a superb selection of plant pots, containers and premium plants to put in them," explains David.

"This re-launch comes as a result of customer demand, with the popularity of the ‘green room' on the up, and as part of Countrywide's commitment to offering its customers a one stop shop by maximising our product offering and providing expert advice from trained staff on gardens as well as in other areas," adds David Gray.
