Wyevale joins forces with WRAP to give compost tips
Published:  01 May, 2008

Gardeners all over the country are being given the opportunity this and next month (April and May 2008) to find out about using peat-free composts in their garden and also about making their own compost.

The UK's largest chain of garden centres, Wyevale Garden Centres Ltd, is partnering WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) to offer free advice and tips to visitors at a selection of its garden centres nationwide during April and May.

Marketing Events Manager for Wyevale, Natalie Moulden, said: "WRAP is bringing its staffed ‘Compost Kiosk' to 17 of our stores. It's a great way to help spread the word about why using peat-free compost containing recycled material is good for gardeners as well as the environment.

"Peat-free composts contain recycled garden material such as grass cuttings, prunings and leaves. Home compost is also easy to make and can cut down the waste you have in your average household bin by around 30 per cent. Both peat-free and homemade composts deliver great results for your garden, too."
