Founded 15 years ago by a management team with several years' experience at the helm of the garden furniture industry, Alexander Rose is today one of the best known brands in the UK and across Europe.

Its factory in Ghana, West Africa, produces its Iroko and Mahogany ranges, while the factory in the Philippines produces the new Woven range featured in the 2009 collection.

A team of skilled, insightful draughtsmen have kept it at the forefront of innovation in product modelling, creating furniture distinguished by ergonomic curves designed to deliver the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.

The company's ranges offer unparalleled diversity. From traditional benches to ornate dining sets, swing seats composed with intricate detail to sunloungers with arm rests for strong support, no effort has been spared to put the customer firmly in charge of the selection process for that ideal set of furniture to bring a garden or conservatory to life! Solid wood, granite, glass, aluminium, stainless steel and coaxial woven fibre have been tastefully combined to create a wealth of furniture offering a one-stop shop for the discerning buyer.

All the materials used in its ranges come from sustainable, legal and eco-friendly sources. As part of its ethical re-investment in the countries from which it sources its products, the factory in Ghana has constructed a school to educate the children and wards of staff and the local community. Current pupil strength numbers 400 and the school is expanding. It also spearheads ongoing sponsorship programmes to provide computers, teaching and sports equipment to the less fortunate overseas. Such efforts ensure that youngsters who otherwise would be left on the wayside have an opportunity to acquire the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the economic development and advancement of their countries.
