Held biannually in Nuremburg, the 30th Interzoo attracted over 37,000 trade visitors from 114 countries for its 1,436 exhibitors. 

At a special awards dinner held at the Nuremburg Hilton, Ashapura Group Chairman Mr N R Shah presented five "Best Dealer Awards" to UK and Irish retailers and wholesalers. The prestigious crystal trophies were given to Pampurredpets, Big Pet Superstores,

Pets Corner, Perky Pets, Wilson's Pet Centres, Vital Wholesale Group, L. Batley's Pet Products and Glenkrag.

"At Ashapura we believe we in the philosophy of appreciating everyone who helps to establish PURA as a global brand," said Ashapura's President of Marketing, Vijay Chaudhari.

He added: "We've recognised the winners of these coveted trophies as their best in their field."

Chaudhari described Interzoo as the world's best business-to-business platform for global operators in the pet product market.

Visitors from as far afield as Australia, Brazil and New Zealand visited the PURA stand to discuss selling PURA cat litter in new territories beyond the 47 countries in which it is sold at present. Other cat litter vendors also approached Ashapura during the show to fulfil their own-label needs.
