Forest delighted to be at GLEE
Published:  04 July, 2008

Within this tough economic climate, it seems likely that 2009 could prove to be one of the most challenging years in recent history for garden retailers.

But among this outlook of doom and gloom, leading garden timber product supplier Forest Garden will be looking to buck the trend at this year's Glee Outdoor Living exhibition in Birmingham.

The Worcestershire-based company will be unveiling an exciting new range of products and services at the show, with a firm focus on saleability and merchant support.

Commenting on the company's plans for the show, Guy Best from Forest, said: "While the economic outlook is certainly not pretty, we're very positive about Glee 2008. Over the last few months we have carried out a wholesale review of our product range and identified a number of new and growth markets that we believe will prove popular and readily saleable.

"Forest has developed a real reputation for innovation over recent years, particularly with the launch of the industry's first genuinely carbon-neutral range of garden products at last year's show, and we're confident that this will be an increasingly popular trend throughout 2009.

"Similarly, with home-owners increasingly looking to make the most of their houses rather than face a difficult property market, we are also seeing signs of families looking to their gardens as a source of extra living space, so look out for a number of new products targeted directly at this emerging market at the show!"

Alongside new product launches, Forest will also be revealing a range of new, value-add services to support retailers at Glee 2008.

Best continued: "While product sales are important, we are only too aware of the pressures facing our retail partners. We have been listening closely to what our retailers have to say during 2007-8 and have now developed a number of initiatives we believe will help make their lives easier during 2009."

Forest Garden will be exhibiting in Hall 4, at the Glee Outdoor Living exhibition from September 21st to 23rd at Birmingham's NEC.
