Weber pioneers unique home delivery service
Published:  20 September, 2008

True to form, Weber, the renowned authority on grilling, has responded to customer feedback and tougher-than-ever market conditions to introduce an unrivalled service for 2009.

Spiralling raw material and commodity costs may be driving up prices and reducing margins industry wide, but Weber's new Home Delivery Service for its top of the range Summit® grills has been designed to deliver great retailer returns with absolutely no commercial risk attached.

To qualify, retailers need only buy a discounted floor model, with all sales fulfilled by a uniformed delivery team. Deliveries will be offered within two-hour timeslots for maximum customer convenience.

"Times are tough and prices are increasing across all industry sectors, but Weber never has and never will consider cutting costs by compromising on the quality of its products," says Jo McDonald, National Sales Manager, Weber Stephen Products UK Ltd.

"With this unique Summit Home Delivery Service, we are supporting the retailer and safeguarding margins, not by reducing specification, but by removing the need to invest in and store high value stock items and taking away the age-old delivery headache," she adds.

Weber's new Home Delivery Service will be trialled across its Summit® range during 2009 and may be extended to other models in the future.
