The family firm's distinctive products are ideally suited to the typical garden centre or gift shop clientele, selling equally well to walking stick users and present-buyers.

This specialist family business now supplies over 500 different products, from everyday rustic sticks to elegant collectors' canes. However, the bulk of the range retails for between £10 and £30, and as walking sticks are mostly displayed vertically in special display stands, offers exemplary returns from small areas of shop floor.

Elegant, floral-patterned walking sticks and height-adjustable folding canes are among the most popular items for garden centres. A wealth of new patterns and designs will be exhibited at GLEE, ensuring there is a walking stick to accessorise any outfit. Important details such as handle shape and exact shades of colours ensure the saleability of Classic Canes products.

Classic Canes also grows and manufactures many rustic, wooden walking sticks in its Somerset woodlands. All home-grown sticks are supplied with a "Sustainable Forestry" swing ticket, explaining their interesting provenance.
