Gardeners guide to ‘going green'
Published:  09 January, 2009

WITH the state of the environment becoming an ever increasing issue, gardeners are finding more and more ways to work with eco-friendly products.  There is now a huge range of products that can help gardeners looking for ‘green' solutions.

Dunweedin's colourful chippings are a prime example of how people can improve their gardens in a way that is beneficial to the environment.

Dunweedin's range of products are made form 100 per cent recycled tyres, and can help revitalise lawns, create stunning pathways and borders, and improve playgrounds - whilst also addressing the UK's problems with excess tyres.

Rubber mulch can also save gardeners cash, lasting ten times longer than traditional bark chippings.

Products such as water butts and solar powered lights are fantastic for helping the environment, and are great ways of saving cash with energy bills and water rates on the increase.

The market is now full of biological and disease control products made from natural resources, as well as netting and frost protection units that are 100 per cent recyclable, and bio-degradable planters.
