Bayer Garden has added several new ranges to its exciting portfolio of garden care products. New for 2008 is the Advanced Mosskiller which controls moss and algae on hard surfaces such as drives, patios, decking, walls, fencing and roofs. The fast acting formula contains a naturally occurring active ingredient, is rainproof within one hour of application and leaves no stains.
There will also be some changes to packaging, which will include a facelift for the Provado Ultimate Bug Killer Ready to Use. The label on the award winning product has been improved with bigger, clearer text and as well as more helpful pictographic instructions.
Robert Smit from Bayer Garden says: "Gardeners don't want to use four different insecticides to get rid of pests, they want one that will do the lot. It's no wonder that Provado Ultimate Bug Killer outsells its competitors three to one."
In addition, Bayer Garden has expanded its popular Baby Bio range with Baby Bio Orchid Food. The solution contains nutrients specifically tailored to the needs of these popular plants, helping to keep blooms looking their best for longer.
Alison Mulvaney, Product Manager at Bayer Garden, says: "The new products are a result of extensive research and we are confident our new portfolio meets the current needs of both consumers and stockists alike."
Bayer Garden has strengthened its range of Advanced Weedkillers with the introduction of a product that gets rid of unwanted weeds in just three hours.
Using naturally occurring active ingredients the Advanced
3 Hour Weedkiller eradicates most common weeds and is suitable for use all round the garden. It's also extremely easy to use, as the foaming formulation means you can see where you have already sprayed, and it's rainproof after just one hour, making it ideal for the young or inexperienced gardener.
Alison continues: "Our research shows that currently 47 per cent of gardeners do not use any type of weedkiller so there is a huge growth potential in the market. Our Advanced 3 Hour Weedkiller is perfectly positioned to encourage new users into the market, offering consumers a product which is easy to use and one that shows instant results."
The Advanced 3 Hour Weedkiller is backed by an extensive marketing support package which includes an in-store media campaign, a money back guarantee and a training roadshow.
Bayer Garden has also introduced another new addition to its Advanced Weedkiller range.
The Advanced Path Weedkiller Concentrate contains glyphosate, flufenacet and metosulam - a new systemic and residual formulation developed by Bayer Garden - and provides season long control of a wide range of commonly occurring weeds. The concentrate comes in handy, water soluble sachets for simple, no handling required application and one treatment will prevent weeds from germinating for up to four months in most situations, and up to six months in ideal conditions.
Once applied, the weedkiller is rainproof in just one hour and the fast acting formula means results can be seen in only five to six days. The Advanced Path Weedkiller Concentrate can also be used around ornamental trees and shrubs.
Alison enthuses: "We are constantly investing in new research and we are excited that this has resulted in a product that is not only highly effective, but which also has such fast acting results."
