Forest Launches Grow Your Own Range
Published:  15 April, 2009

Forest Garden, the UK's leading provider of timber products for the garden, is building on its reputation for tapping into consumer trends with the launch of a new range of ‘Grow Your Own' (GYO) products.

The company, which also brought the first genuinely carbon neutral range of timber garden products to the market in 2008, is launching a nine-strong GYO collection for 2009, perfect for customers looking to move towards self sufficiency.

"Increasing environmental concerns combined with the impact of the credit crunch have seen many families returning to traditional values when it comes to sourcing their fruit and vegetables.

However, with allotments over-subscribed across the country, most families have to look closer to home to find space to grow their crops. "Forest's GYO collection includes covered cold frames, slot-down and raised-frame vegetable beds in a variety of sizes. It also includes timber sleepers and log edgings, allowing customers freedom to build beds to suit their own requirements, as well as a simple composter. "Every product is pressure-treated, giving the reassurance of a 15-year guarantee against rot and, with prices starting from as little as £15.99, customers will not have to wait long to see a real return on their investment through reductions in their grocery bills!" Forest's GYO collection is available from the end of March 2009.
