SOLEX Update
Published:  01 February, 2008

Kettler (GB) Limited is one of the major garden furniture companies that will be exhibiting at Solex 2008.

"We made the decision to pull-out of Glee in 2007 because the industry was looking to make earlier buying decisions. The initiative to hold our own trade presentations in July was a great success and with the creation of Solex, it was a positive progression that we wanted to be part of. The exhibition is an ideal opportunity for buyers to concentrate and focus on this one, very important, market and to view the range of products on offer for the 2009 season," says Paul Bevington (pictured), Managing Director.

Kettler will continue their emphasis on high quality - low maintenance furniture. This year will see the renowned Royal Garden frames being used with a combination of other materials such as Sunloom-Plus®, a weatherproof weave that is ideal for indoor and outdoor furniture. Each strand is made up of a number of fine polyester fibres, making the finish incredibly strong and robust and also very comfortable, soft and smooth to the touch - unlike the more abrasive characteristics of natural rattan and wicker. Sunloom-Plus® is weather and UV resistant, will not split or crack, and is 100 per cent recyclable.

In addition to their traditional range, the company has taken garden furniture into a new arena with the introduction of a design-led range. Specifically made for a generation that appreciates distinctive, modern ideas the Contemporary Living collection will appeal to a new customer, one with an eye for style. Already proving a very popular choice with the trade, Avanti features stainless steel frames and striking black glass-top tables. Undoubtedly, we will see exciting additions to this range for 2009.
