The honour is given to garden centres displaying the highest standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability. The prestigious award was presented to Grosvenor staff at February's GCA conference in Manchester.

Iain Wylie, Managing Director for Grosvenor Garden Centre, said: "Being recognised by the industry for the eighth time is a real testament to the hard work of the team here at Grosvenor.

"We are the only centre in the UK to have achieved the accolade eight times, which is fantastic. With garden centres becoming bigger and offering a range of products outside of the traditional plants and flowers, it is important for us to keep improving and expanding. The Garden Centre of Excellence award gives us even greater motivation to keep up the momentum and continue with the hard work."

Belgrave-based Grosvenor is one of only 26 centres around the UK to collect the prestigious award. The honour comes on the back of winning a gold award in the "Best Use of Space" category at the Garden Retail Awards last year.
