“Mindful of the environment we have developed a brand new bottle for our ready-to-use products that is made from recycled materials” explained Paul Lerigo head of marketing at Bayer Garden.  “Manufacturing from recycled rather than ‘virgin’ materials is costly but we believe this is an important long term investment and that gardeners, in particular, will appreciate this step.

  • It makes sense to stock Procter Pest-Stop’s full range of high quality products
Procter Pest-Stop have long been the leading pest control brand for garden centres, with their very comprehensive range of high quality product and the best packaging in the market.
    Published:  14 February, 2012

A good percentage of the range is specifically aimed at garden use, with high-tech products such as electronic pest repellers to keep out unwanted rabbits, squirrels and cats etc. plus more conventional traps for moles and rodents. However, Procter Pest-Stop’s range of indoor products are also proven winners on the garden centre shelf, as consumers find it logical to look for product to deal with all pests. Andy Simmons, Director of Procter Pest-Stop, expands on the thinking: “Experience shows us that garden centres are as good a retail environment as any to sell all types of pest control products. Of course the products we have which are specifically aimed at the garden market do well, but so too do our full range of indoor products. In the consumers mind and rightly, pests in their home have usually come in from the garden anyway.”

  • Lack of rainfall across the UK means less water for you

    Published:  06 February, 2012

Across the country increased restrictions are coming into force. Save your water! That's the advice from the water agencies, whose determination to make the consumer responsible for their own water use is unrelenting. Hose bans are the council’s way of enforcing this, but without enough notice it can leave you high and dry – literally.

  • Town & Country enjoying bumper footwear sales

    Published:  06 February, 2012

Barry Page, Chief Executive, puts it down to one thing - quality.  He says:  “We believe that with our Premium Wellington range we have the best quality boot currently available on the market.  With a price tag of just £39.99 for a boot that is British designed and hand crafted from natural rubber - and the equivalent competitor product retailing at over twice the price - our Wellingtons represent extremely good value for money.  We are continually investing in footwear to improve the quality of the fit and the durability, and consumers literally are voting with their feet.”
