Tell us about your company history and your brand/products ?
Red Cherry is predominantly a shopfitting company which specialises in the garden centre industry. The company has been in existence for 10 years now and in that time our reputation has grown and word has spread so that increasingly we now attract projects from other related industries including farm shops and nurseries. Our background spans 36 years in shopfitting, design and consultancy, and as a direct result of this experience a large proportion of our work comes from referral.
We’re very keen on quality and so the products that we supply have to be verifiably best suited to the job in hand whilst representing excellent value for money. That’s why we use market leading Tegometall shelving from Germany and specific ranges of refrigeration cabinets, drinks coolers, counters and walk in cold rooms. In addition to our range of standard timberwork counters and card racks we also offer bespoke checkout units, designed to customer specification.
Which are your best selling designs and why?
As shopfitting suppliers, designers and installers, design is paramount and the ‘test of the best’ is whether the designs increase customer buying. All of ours do. Using a combination of positioning and quality appearance to mark out customer flow, our designs cleverly direct shoppers around the store targeting specific areas.
Where are you based and how many people do you employ?
We are based in Kent but cover the whole of the UK & have repeat clients in England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales, as well as places like Gibraltar & Tenerife.
Do you have a company/brand philosophy?
Very simply our philosophy is ‘Customer for Life’.
How do you market your products?
Our marketing is through trade magazines like “Garden Centre Update” and increasingly through our website. Once a store owner has seen how their competitor has increased his / her customer base and potential profit, they get in touch with us to do the same for them. A visit is paramount and following essential measurement taking a 3D plan is presented.
Which qualities distinguish Red Cherry Shopfittings from its competitors?
Service & Commitment; we can supply shelving the following day to mainland UK provided we get the order by lunchtime. It comes directly to you from the largest importer of Tegometall in the UK. Our way of looking at commitment is “Doing what you said you would do, long after the mood in which you said it has passed” something that seems to be lacking in this day and age.

We have many prestigious clients that come back time & time again. To us they’re all famous.
And, the next step? Any plans for the future, new lines, etc ?
As we specialise in shelving we have no plans to expand our existing range of goods, our immediate future plan as always is to remain focused on helping our clients increase their turnover & thus their profits.
