Say goodbye to big bags and heavy loads

Most gardeners have problems lifting and carrying large bags of heavy compost. But now there’s an answer – Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ concentrated enriched compost.

Its unique formulation expands up to three times – each small bag makes 50-litres of compost. It is quick, easy to re-wet and is ready to use in just a few minutes.

But that’s where its lightweight credentials end – it performs like a true heavyweight! And, it is 100% peat free. Growing tests show that it outperforms other leading peat and peat-free composts. It holds plenty of moisture, so it doesn’t dry out so quickly, and feeds for up to six months.

Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ can be used anywhere

Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ is perfect for pots and baskets. It holds up to 50% more water than basic potting composts and plants grow stronger and healthier. It is also a superb soil improver. Its porous, open structure lightens heavy, lifeless soils and provides structure in light soils.

The speedy solution to repairing lawn damage caused by dogs

One issue that causes problems for dog and garden owners is bare patches caused by urine burns. But now there’s Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic® Dog Spot Repair.

Based on the best-selling technology of the UK’s number one grass seed, Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic®, Dog Spot Repair is the easy-to-use, one-step solution to the problem. Its unique three-in-one technology makes it convenient to use and fast acting, so consumers can repair the toughest lawn bare patches quickly and easily.

Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic® Dog Spot Repair contains gypsum, grass seed and coir. Gypsum helps rebalance the soil nutrient levels to improve grass establishment and growth. The Miracle-Gro® grass seed mix comprises selected high performance, salt-tolerant varieties. Coir creates a microclimate that protects the seed as it establishes and the seedlings as they grow.

Sales opportunities

With around 5.6 million households in the UK having a lawn and owning a dog, there are huge opportunities for sales. So stock Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic® Dog Spot Repair as an exciting new revenue generator.

Tubes help you weed more easily!

Concentrated weedkillers are more economical than ready-to-use alternatives, but some consumers consider the dilution process complicated and time consuming.

That all changes with Weedol® Rootkill Plus™ tubes – a liquid concentrate weedkiller that contains glyphosate and pyraflufen-ethyl and is convenient and easy to use. The weedkiller is contained within single-dose plastic tubes – simply break off the top, mix and spray.

This latest pesticide delivery technology is exclusive to Scotts and our research shows that a liquid concentrate single dose tube is twice as popular as granular sachets and produces the highest purchase intent among current weedkiller users and non users, so there is the opportunity for increased market penetration and sales.

The ultra-effective formula of Weedol® Rootkill Plus™ delivers fast-acting visible results plus effective root kill of tough perennial weeds. It is approved for use all around the garden and degrades in the soil to allow re-planting between one and seven days after application.

Roundup® Gel – a revolution in weed control

Roundup® Gel is an entirely new formulation that will revolutionise the weed control sector.

Roundup® Gel contains glyphosate so it is highly effective. It is also easy to use, as quick to use as an RTU and as precise as hand weeding.

For retailers, Roundup® Gel presents a great opportunity to target millions of new users. Consumer research shows that 72% of those people who don’t use a weedkiller said they would try Roundup® Gel, equating to 8.6 million potential new customers.

One click is all it takes

With just one hand you can release the precise amount of gel needed to target the weeds without risk to nearby plants. The gel formulation sticks to the weed leaf and stays there, so there’s no running off onto the soil or treasured plants, enabling gardeners to precisely target problematical weeds all over the garden.

Roundup® Gel won the Glee Garden Care Best New Product Award and the Gold Award in the Fertilisers & Chemicals category of the DIY Week Awards.
