100% recycled
Now arriving on the shelves of garden care retailers, Bayer Garden’s new ergonomically designed ready to use bottle is the first to be made entirely from recycled materials.
Published:  17 February, 2012

“Mindful of the environment we have developed a brand new bottle for our ready-to-use products that is made from recycled materials” explained Paul Lerigo head of marketing at Bayer Garden.  “Manufacturing from recycled rather than ‘virgin’ materials is costly but we believe this is an important long term investment and that gardeners, in particular, will appreciate this step.

“The bottle is one of the first tangible consequences of our new long term sustainability strategy, which has been developed by reviewing all our operations and products and is now being implemented.” Having embarked on the process of developing a bottle from recycled materials, Bayer Garden also took the opportunity to include a range of new user friendly and safety features.

The ergonomic design has created a shape that is more comfortable in the hand.   The trigger contains a new childproof lock system and, perhaps most importantly for a bottle that contains products designed to tackle weeds, pests and diseases, the trigger has a unique safety ratchet that means it cannot be removed from the bottle.  This reduces the risk of leakage through this route.

The design on the shrink sleeve, which is also manufactured from PET, provides the information the shoppers need to understand if the product matches their requirement. At a glance they can see the descriptive product name, an illustration of the problems it solves and its features and benefits.

The products you will find in this new bottle are: Tough Rootkill, Glyphosate Ready to Use2, Ground Clear, Lawn Weedkiller Ready to Use2, 3 Hour Weedkiller, Path Weedkiller, Moss Killer, Ultimate Fruit & Vegetable Bug Killer, Provado Ultimate Bug Killer Ready to Use, Multirose Bug Killer, Fungus Fighter Disease Control, Baby Bio House Plant Insecticide, Triple Action Clean & Protect and Cat-a-Pult.
