Yeoman break world record with super-size spade

Yeoman, the UK’s leading tool brand, is kicking off its 21st anniversary year in style after having received confirmation that its world record breaking attempt has been successful - making Yeoman the proud manufacturers of the world’s largest spade!

The spade, which stands at an impressive 12ft 9 inches, has been checked by Guinness World Record officials and has been confirmed as the world’s largest spade.

Beating the previous world record holders by 11 inches, Yeoman has celebrated by creating 90 replicas of the spade. 70 replica spades are currently on show at garden centres across the UK, including Earlswood Nurseries who have placed their replica giant spade in the heart of the stores garden tools display. Robert Giles, Yeoman Brand Manager said, “We are thrilled that our world record attempt has been confirmed. A lot of hard work, thought and careful construction went into making sure we achieved our aim. It is a great way to start off the year, and celebrate 21 years of continuing success at Yeoman.”
