Stax continues to strengthen garden offering
Published:  05 January, 2010

Stax Trade Centres is continuing to strengthen its offering to Garden Centres with the recruitment of more specialist field based sales representatives, the widening of its gardening ranges, the development of on-line ordering, the launch of a new 164 page gardening catalogue and an improved delivery service.

Stax sees the Garden Centre sector as an area where it can achieve continued growth. Joint Managing Director, David Hibbert, said, “We’ve been serving the garden centre market for nearly 30 years, mainly on a cash and carry basis, while offering a delivered service to a limited number of garden centres. While we have been unable to develop a delivered service for contractual reasons until recently, we recognise  that the garden centre  market would benefit from and appreciate the Stax ‘customer focused’ style of trading. With this in mind we set about putting in place an infrastructure to offer a top of the range delivered service to garden centres.“ David concluded “Stax is totally committed to supporting the independent retail sector, and most Garden Centres are still independent. Our garening ranges are ever increasing and we believe that the best way to support them is to customise our service to meet their needs. So with increased personal service, better on-line facilities, a substantial catalogue and the fact that we deliver direct to them, Stax is strengthening its gardening offer to Garden Centres.”
