Solus launches new Garden Nation brand

With the strapline ‘Outdoors, inspired’, Garden Nation brings together Solus’s previous Camelot and Adorn brands alongside a host of new products designed to capture the growing market for colourful, personal spaces outdoors.

“Garden Nation celebrates the great British relationship with the garden, our love of gardening and enjoying our own bit of the great outdoors,” said Dean Winters, head of décor and leisure brands at Solus.

“Garden Nation combines some of the bestsellers from our Camelot and Adorn ranges with exciting new ideas that reflect garden living trends. We’re committed to giving the consumer the choice of mixing and matching to create their own style in the garden.”

Bright, colourful parasols and cushions set the scene for 2014, alongside other new products including the Regency Superior Collection, a range of semi-permanent gazebos featuring ornamental trellis work and fitted with the new Cam-Lock system, which removes the need for nuts and bolts and cuts construction time by around 50%.

Also new for 2014 is the innovative Weatherflex parasol, designed to cope with windy weather without blowing inside out; the Days Out range of lightweight transportable chairs and recliners in an on-trend fabric design exclusive to Solus; a brand new collection of garden clocks featuring exclusive designs and a new range of fashion mats.

“We’ve talked to our retailers about what they and their customers want and it’s this feedback that has guided our selection of new products,” added Dean Winters. “Colourful, contemporary leisure and décor items allow homeowners to ‘take the indoors outside’ and make gardens a real extension of their home living space. We’re really excited about the potential of the brand and look forward to helping people make the most of their gardens all year long.”

The new brand was launched at the company’s ‘Grow with Solus’ event, held this week at Solus’s Droitwich showroom, and the Solus garden sales team will be introducing the new brand to retailers. The new products are being added into the new Garden Nation website over the next few weeks, and Garden Nation is looking to build a strong social media presence on with Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ and YouTube channels.
