Squires-Milford-Superheros-Raising-money-for-Shooting-Star-Chase-15th-May-300x200Squire’s Garden Centre in Milford held a “Superhero day” last Friday 15th May, to raise money for the charity Shooting Star Chase during Children’s Hospice Week.

Kate Law (Community Fundraiser at Shooting Star Chase) commented “Squire’s raised £552.56 which is a wonderful amount of money! This could pay for a sensory day for children with very complex needs. Many thanks to Squire’s for helping us to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week in such style!”

Customers at Squire’s also took part in Shooting Star Chase’s “Name the Nurse” competition.  Customers had to come up with a name for the fingerprint nurse, which had to be fun and extraordinary, and also reflect the nurse’s kind and caring nature, and her legendary medical knowledge. The winning entry will receive an iPad Air!

Sarah Squire (Deputy Chairman at Squire’s) said “We are delighted to support Shooting Star Chase, and make our customers more aware of this wonderful local charity. Squire’s staff at Milford chose Shooting Star Chase as our charity of the year. We hope to be able to donate a generous amount to them throughout the year, with thanks to our customers.”
