Award nomination success for HTA and APL

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) have been shortlisted for a number of awards relating to events, publications and its website.

The HTA has been shortlisted in two categories in the Association Excellence Awards 2017 for the HTA National Plant Show and its flagship publication, HTA News.

The categories shortlisted are:

Best Large Association Event – over 1500 attendees for National Plant Show
Best Association Magazine or Newsletter (less than 12,000 circulation) for HTA News

The Association Excellence Awards have been developed to recognise excellence and exceptional achievements in trade and professional associations.

The winners will be announced at an Awards lunch at the Hurlingham Club in London on March 31 2017.

The HTA’s Plant of the Moment campaign has been shortlisted for Best Consumer Marketing campaign at Horticulture Week’s UK Grower Awards which take place on February 23. Spearheaded by growers and retailers, Plant of the Moment highlights planting ideas as well as plants at their best to help gardeners create gardens that are full of colour and interest throughout the year. The HTA worked with gardening consultant and journalist Adam Pasco to provide themes, accompanying articles and supporting photos.

Finally, the APL portfolio has won the Best of Houzz 2017 award in the design category for its entries showcasing great garden design and landscaping, voted for by the 40 million monthly users on the platform.

Houzz provides a homeowner to homeowner guide to top builders, architects, interior designers and landscape professionals.
