Alistair’s appointment marks a restructuring of Blooms of Bressingham’s European operations to provide coherent support right through the supply chain. The model now incorporates many elements from the company’s successful strategy in North America while taking into account the uniqueness of the European marketplace.
Alistair explains: “Blooms of Bressingham is a brand with a magnificent heritage and a strong ethos dedicated to developing great garden plants that stand the test of time. Adrian Bloom is very much an influential force and remains closely involved in variety selection, even though ownership is now outside of the Bloom family. The last few years have seen great success in the USA and Canada, where Blooms of Bressingham is highly regarded by industry and consumers alike. The time is right to re-establish the same standing this side of the Atlantic.
My role is to act upon the needs of all our industry partners and provide the central support which will enable everybody here to benefit from our expertise. The range of plants is now extensive, and that’s a very exciting prospect!”
