Forest leads the way with new products and services

Exhibiting at this year’s GLEE, Forest will be showcasing all-new garden buildings, playdens, pet homes, decking, landscaping and arbours along with a number of initiatives designed to drive sales of timber garden products.
A 12-strong collection of premium garden buildings is being launched. It includes sheds, workshops, summerhouses and storage units, all of which are constructed from quality kiln-dried, pressure-treated shiplap, providing a 15-year guarantee against rot.
Following on from the success of this year’s Heritage Store House, Forest will be offering two more models in this range including a larger Corner Store House. Manufactured from carbon neutral timber, completely pressure treated and with a felt shingle roof, this model has really captured the imagination of the public and trade alike.
For younger members of the family, Forest is launching an exclusive range of garden playdens.  The eight-piece range includes playhouses in a wide selection of attractive designs suitable for three to eight year olds. The collection includes products made using traditional shiplap plus some innovative designs manufactured with an interesting timber alternative.
Home delivery is still high on Forest’s agenda, and many of the new products are being offered with a home delivery option. In fact, Forest will have home delivered 60,000 units in 2008 alone, evidence of the importance of this service to the public.
All new garden buildings are offered with the company’s new Garden Buildings Installation Service, adding a real convenience factor for both consumers and traders.
Forest is also introducing a new web-based ordering facility aimed at streamlining the ordering process for trade customers. Forest Connect will be quick and easy to use and is available to view for the first time at Glee.
More products being launched at Glee include a range of pet homes, including a rabbit hutch perfect for children’s furry friends. Also, Forest will be offering a chicken coop and run to tap into the increased popularity of self-sufficiency.
Forest’s decking range has been overhauled with a range of new contemporary decking components and some striking new deck kits. Landscaping products and planters also have new feature lines, designed to drive volume, while Forest’s range of garden arbours sees a further eight new lines being launched.
Commenting on the 2009 season offer, Guy Best, Director of Sales at Forest, said: “Once again we have some fantastic new products and services for our customers to see at this year’s GLEE. The development work that has gone into this year’s range is evidence of our market leading position and our ability to continue to develop and grow our category for our customers.”
