Hawkesmill Nurseries reflecting on successful 2016

Warwickshire-based family company Hawkesmill Nurseries is celebrating after a ‘superb’ year, the company has announced.

hawkesmillThe Hawkesmill team started 2016 celebrating the fact that it was their 40th anniversary. The company notes that the objective has always been to keep Hawkesmill running as a family concern, while at the same time growing the business and maintaining the customer service that Hawkesmill is known for.

Hawkesmill has been picking up awards this year for its products; at the National Plant Show the new Geum ‘Scarlet Tempest’ won gold in the new plants ‘Herbaceous Perennials’ section and Hawkesmill also won the ‘Planting The Seed Visitor Vote’ for the best retail display of its ‘Herbs For Summer’ collection. At the GIMA Awards Hawkesmill took home the award for the ‘Best Plants, Seeds & Bulbs’ category, with its ‘Herbs For Summer’ collection.

Sales director Richard Evans commented: “We have had a superb year with our anniversary, awards we have won, and new and exciting products on offer to our customers. We are going from strength to strength and are proud to still work as a family concern, while keeping ahead of the game in an ever changing market. Roll on 2017!”
