Haxnicks series of events featuring Pippa Greenwood off to a great start

A programme of events, sponsored by Tildenet brand Haxnicks, have begun with Pippa Greenwood speaking to packed audiences at Haskins’ Ferndown and West End Centres.

With the speaker billed as ‘Gardening Royalty’ in press coverage, Alasdair Urquhart of Haskins said: “We’ve had a fantastic turnout – it’s great to have someone of Pippa’s standing visiting the centre and we have already had a request for something similar next year.”

The enthusiastic audience listened to Pippa giving advice on how to extend the growing season and showcasing the practical range of Haxnicks products, with the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session. Ann Grately, a customer at Ferndown, said: “I am off to get some sweetcorn seeds…Pippa made it sound so easy!”

A raffle was also held in aid of local charities, with the winners taking home bell cloches and patio planters.

Tildenet sales director Steve Millington commented: “Tildenet has developed these sponsored talks as part of a commitment to adding value to our retailers by helping them to engage with their customers.”

Haskins buyer Matt Hill welcomed the support to their business and said: “Thank you to Tildenet; this has made a lovely start to the Spring season.”

Alongside sponsoring promotional events Tildenet will be introducing engaging and informative packaging for Haxnicks with straightforward ‘How-to’ guides from Pippa Greenwood in many of the products and videos available online or for use in store.

The next talk will be held at Ayletts on March 17 as part of Garden Re-Leaf Day, with further events throughout the season.
