Kelkay Ltd, a major UK manufacturer and supplier of garden landscape products, has recently embarked on a £3.0 million investment programme over three year at its production facilities in East Yorkshire. Once completed this will enable Kelkay to achieve an increased turnover of £20 million.
In 2009 £1.0 million was invested in a new pre-cast state-of-the-art facility for the manufacture of paving stones. It is now nearing full production and will be at full capacity by year-end. A further £250,000 has been invested in packaging and palletising machinery for its pre-packed decorative aggregates. This will result in cleaner and tidier pallets at point of purchase.
Further investment has taken place improving site infrastructure, which includes a new 30,000 sq ft warehouse to store its resin-stone ranges; Easy Fountain (self contained water features), Gargoyles and Creatures.
Antony Harker, Managing Director, comments;
“With this additional capacity, Kelkay from the one site, can offer its customers the ability to place minimum quantity orders over four product categories. The increased investment will allow us to expand our ranges further, extending our product offering and enhancing our customer service.”
