Mr Ballu’s appointment follows the acquisition of the Hozelock business by French owned Exel Industries earlier this month.
Marc Ballu is third generation of the family run Exel Industries and will be responsible for all of the group’s consumer companies which include Berthoud and Cooper-Pegler professional sprayers. He has a background in consumer markets, initially with Mars and subsequently managing subsidiary Exel gsa for 10 years, achieving significant profitable growth. Marc will be relocating to the UK with his family.

Following the change of ownership, David Algar will step down as CEO of the Hozelock Group.
