New faces bolster Glee team

As activity ramps up ahead of Glee 2016 (Monday 12 – Wednesday 14 September, NEC Birmingham), show organiser i2i Events has bolstered the show’s sales team, helping to deliver greater access and assistance to new and existing exhibitors.

Licia Viscito, who assisted in the lead-up to the 2015 show, has joined the team as a permanent member, with responsibilities covering new business development with a particular emphasis on growing Glee’s international exhibitor base. Licia (pictured right) will also help drive interest in the rebranded Landscaping & Garden Decoration, and Outdoor Entertaining sectors of Glee 2016, as well as Pet and the new-for-2016 Water Gardening area.

Glee appointmentsLicia is not the only new face to join Glee in 2016, as James Kenton has also been appointed.  James (pictured left) will help to drive new business development, focusing his attention on attracting new brands and gardening innovators to the show. His efforts will also focus on Glee’s core product areas, including Garden Care, Home, Gift & Clothing, as well as Retail Experiences, which replaces Retail Services in 2016. Offering the best in shop-fittings, POS, EPoS and retail design, this area will be expanded to better incorporate the wider aspects related to inspirational and functional retailing concepts, i2i Events says.

Licia and James will join Glee’s dedicated team which already includes Lara Anderson and event director, Matthew Mein.

Glee event director Matthew Mein said: “We’re incredibly pleased to announce that Licia and James have joined the Glee team ahead of the 2016 show. Their expertise and passion for helping Glee to grow is unrivalled, and I have no doubt they will be vital to the future success of the exhibition.

“We may already be over 84% sold but there is still a lot of work to be done to fill the remaining floorspace, and we want to ensure that Glee 2016 delivers the strongest showcase of brands from the UK and abroad. More than this, we are also working on developing our long term offering, with the 2017 show set to deliver an even more revitalised and exciting showcase for the garden retail industry. Watch this space to find out more over the coming months!”
