Tong Garden Centre has announced it is a finalist in two awards of a horticulture industry competition. The business has been shortlisted in the Best New-Build, Refurbishment, Refit or Extension and the Best Sales or Marketing Campaign Categories of the Horticulture Week Business Awards 2019.
Tong’s nomination for the final of Best New-Build, Refurbishment, Refit or Extension category is a result of the work done to refurbish the Food Hall and the story of its Christmas campaign, Wonder earned the team a place in the Best Sales or Marketing Campaign category final.
The shortlist has been drawn up by experts including representatives from academia, industry, professional and charity sectors and the winners will be announced at a reception and presentation at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on the 27 June.
Tong Garden Centre marketing manager, Jo Dales commented: “To reach the final in two categories is testament to the fabulous team we have at Tong who have worked tirelessly to implement the Food Hall refurb and to deliver an exceptional Christmas campaign.
“Giving our customers a fantastic experience underpins everything we do at Tong and it’s very rewarding that our efforts have been recognised nationally.”
