IP rated enclosures are designed to be robust and UV resistant. They perform between temperature extremes of –40°C to +70°C and are perfect for exterior and interior positioning in locations where exposure to dust or splashing water maybe encountered. The IP rated range comprises various combinations of switches and sockets, singles, twins and triples with further combinations including RCD protected units. The metal clad units are tough and durable, ideally suited for installing in covered industrial sites, agricultural buildings and commercial areas.
TuffMaster IP rated enclosure lids combine a specialist seal material with a unique clipping action lock to create constant pressure on the seals and ensure water and dust cannot enter the enclosures. In addition, the seal material returns to its original profile when released from pressure. This ensures a good seal forms when the lid or cover is closed, providing full protection even when different cable sizes and profiles are used. Thermoplastic elastomer rubber seals are used as bungs and cable glands to ensure IP compliance.
