Weber collaborates with Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer for Weber for Life campaign

Barbecue brand Weber has announced that it has joined forces with Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer as part of its ‘Weber for Life’ campaign to encourage consumers to get together with friends and family this summer for a fantastic barbecue experience.

Simon Rimmer will be providing tops tips on how to produce great tasting food, further educating consumers on the benefits of cooking on a barbecue.

Weber will kick off the campaign by launching a competition asking the public to share their best excuses for having a barbecue, with a chance to win the ultimate Weber experience with Simon Rimmer.

Weber UK marketing director Chris Trewhitt commented: “This campaign will see us engage with thousands of consumers every week, both increasing our brand awareness and educating the public to improve their barbecue skills. Simon Rimmer’s knowledge and experience as a chef makes him the ideal partner to support this campaign and our drive to improve the barbecue culture in the UK. Millions of Brits currently welcome him into their homes every weekend for his foodie insights on Sunday Brunch. He’s the perfect fit for Weber.”

Simon added: “There’s nothing better than a barbecue for getting friends and family together. And with just a little learning, you can make big improvements to the quality of food that we’re cooking on the barbecue.”

This collaboration with Simon Rimmer comes on top of Weber’s biggest ever advertising campaign, a seven figure investment focused around Genesis II, and will ensure the brand remains visible to consumers right until the end of the summer season.

The competition is now live and closes on July 3 2017.
