Plant Plot Garden Centre in Lichfield has entered its first month of trading under new owner David Rusholme, after receiving funding from Yorkshire Bank.
The garden centre, which had operated under its previous ownership for a number of years, will now benefit from significantly modernised facilities while preserving popular original features such as the plant nursery and extensive garden sales areas. David aims to encourage business growth by constructing a new café bistro and creating a digital sales platform, along with an increase in employee numbers over time.
Birmingham Customer Banking Centre commercial relationship manager James Oliver commented: “David has a wealth of business experience and we’re thrilled to be able to help him with his purchase of the garden centre. The new modernised centre will be a fantastic facility for the local community and we’d like to wish David every success with this new venture.”
David Rusholme said: “This funding from Yorkshire Bank has helped me make a life-changing purchase – I am excited to grow the business over the coming years through a new café facility and expansion of the centre.”
